Understanding solutions using dyes.

Post by Hidayet.

For making this test we used organic dyes, three different colours, with 5 ml of solvent (acetone, ethanol, distilled water).

For each solution of those we put 0.15 gm of dye in it.

After we mixed together, we found that, dissolving was different in each solution.  In the distilled water the dyes were dissolved very well, but in the acetone and ethanol there was some residue in the bottom.

Lab experiment testing how dyes dissolve in different solvents.
