Understanding Conductivity

Testing to know the conductivity of these materials:
Sugar
Sodium chloride
Sodium Bicarbonate

This test is to know which of those materials gives more conductivity in water.
To do this test we need these materials:

1- 0.1 g of each one of the materials (Sugar – Sodium chloride- Sodium Bicarbonate).
2- 100 ml of distilled water for each material separately .

First we prepare the distilled water. We use three beakers to put 100 ml of distilled water in each. And then we put in each one, one material. At last we put the conductivity meter in the solution and we measure the conductivity.

Measuring conductivity.

Results :

As a result of this test we found that:
the sodium chloride has the most ability to conduct the electric charge ( 1830 mµ Micro Siemens) .

Sodium chloride solution.

the sodium bicarbonate has medium ability to conduct the electric charge (822 mµ Micro Siemens) .
the sugar has the lowest or no ability to conduct the electric charge (0 mµ Micro Siemens) .

Sugar solution.
